it depends a lot on what6 kind of muffler you use, but because of the way the 2.3 is, its pretty hard to get it to sounds like a ricer. If you use the stock muffler w/o a cat it might be a little louder, but if you get rid of the cat, build a 2 1/4" exhaust and use a flowmaster 40 series muffler it sounds pretty good, loud but good. if turbod make it a 3" exhaust. I also hear running the 40 series backwards sounds interesting as well.
