anyways, here's the story on it

As you would imagine from a tuner 2010 Mustang that has 700 horsepower, there's been a lot of work done to the engine. The big new parts in the Reed Speed SSE Mustang are the forged rods, new pistons, and new rings. The purpose is to drop the compression ratio the point where the engine can accept 12 psi of boost from twin Artisan rear mounted turbocharges with dual intercoolers. While specific specs aren't available yet (the car will go on sale in late summer / early fall), the engineers figure the horsepower rating will be at least 700, maybe more. All that power will be mated to a manual gearbox and stopped by 14-inch rotors with six-piston SSBC calipers.
As you can tell by the rendering above, the body of the Reed Speed Mustang will also be getting some work. The track in the front will be widened by 1.5 inches and the rear gets 3 inches wider. The wheels are forged 20-inchers that are 13 inches wide in the back and 11 in the front. While exact color schemes haven't been released yet, we do know that the car will feature a custom two-tone BASF paint job.
As the Reed Speed SSE Mustang gets closer to the market, we'll have more detals (including the yet unnamed price).
