Truly though, the ecoboost and 3.7 are both known quantities. No need to argue over what they are capable of. The new 4V 5.0? Well let's put it this way. Saleen made 380ish hp with a 302 stroker kitted 3V 4.6. If Ford dished out the big bucks and engineering manhours to build this new motor, I'm sure it can at least manage what a stroked 4.6 can. Will they push it close to its potential right out of the box? Now that I can't say. But if even half of what I've heard about this motor can be believed, it will be capable of 400+hp no matter what..........even if we have to do a little fiddling to get it there.
As long as it doesn't push up the weight on the GT significantly...the 2011 Mustang will be a very potent modern musclecar. Live axle be damned.

I actually heard that the Coyote 4v is lighter than the current 4.6 aluminum block.

Not sure if it's true or not, but interesting to think about.
