Both companies are bankrupt. Fiat, the new owner of Chrysler's viable assets came out and said they'll be focusing on fuel efficient and compact vehicles.
I'm afraid the response may be along the lines of, "Introducing the new Challenger! With it's 2.2 liter engine it gets 34 mpg!!!"
