Default Pro-Kit or Sportlines??

Hey guys, I know this is an ongoing debacle, but I don't know what to choose. I wanna to have a lower ride, but do not want to settle for an 1 or 1.5 inch. I don't want to go too low, over 2.5. I'm kind of stuck.
Can I get away with sportlines without using CC plates if I get an alignment done?

Please forgive the idiotic question, but what benefit does CC plates offer? How long can I get away without using CC plates and new shock/struts while putting on the Sportlines?
How hard are they to install?

Stang has 83K babied miles and BRAND NEW tires just put on (hence why I am going to get an alignment after I get the springs, one stop shop)

(edit) Yes, money is an issue. I wanna get the best bang for my buck.
Thanks,
Phil
