Default ESCA autoX Santa Rosa 5/30

It was a nice day, but overcast through the first half so nice and cool. Met up with the good ReverendDexter, who naturally kicked my **** on the course but had a blast anyway

He was helpful with some good tips as to lines and such. Even though my earlier runs were faster by the clock, my latter runs were smoother and better overall. Got some nice high-def vids of all 7 runs and very happy with my overall experience of my 2nd autoX event. Was actually out at Infineon earlier in the week and got some good vids from there as well.

Unable to get them to embed, but are full HD vids so hopefully your computer can keep up!

7th run: http://www.vimeo.com/4927469

Thanks, been working on it and will continue to do so

Is a total BLAST to autoX and will be hitting many more events over this year. I can actually go to one nearly every week if I had the time.

That course reminds me more of a modified road course, not too many slaloms or tight elements. I prefer that to my clubs tendency for tighter more technical elements, but the space you have to work with will always have an influence on what is possible.

It's fun, isn't it? What tires are you running?

Was a real fast course at several points, but not as fast as this past w/e at same location (see 6/27 AX thread in this section)

As for tires, I am running 295/30 & 315/30 R888's (my sig has some additional details). I am actually going to contact Griggs today and run my set-up by them. I am sure everything is good, but would like to fine-tune things a bit, if possible, to get the most out of this type of event. When I had the car done, I wasn't into AX, so I am sure some things can be tweaked for such courses.
