totally agree. it has a lot to do with motor size as well as matching the right size sc/turbo to your combo. same as the type of sc. back when i had a vortech it made max boost around 4200 where my turbos hit max boost around 3200.

definitely build a c4 over a c6. c6 is just dead weight. i too have heard they cant hold as much power as a c4

i may have asked this already but where in socal are you?

What about a th-400?? I was just reading a post yesterday I beleive over on The Turbo Forums and there was someone looking into a very well built c-4 and thay told him over and over not to wast time with the c-4 if its gonna be driven on the street and that the TH-400 can be built for about the same price as a c-4 but will be much more reliable on the streets. Look around on The Turbo Forums: turbomustangs.com those guys really know their s*** when it comes to turbo cars of all forms. (not that these guys dont I dident mean to imply that in the least bit so dont get offened guys, im just saying thats pretty much all thay deal with is turbo cars.)

thanks don i have read a few articles over there as well, in both the c-4 and 400 they are pretty close to the same really, they both fall back on a weak OD so im not sure why the 400 would be better because if u hit 4th gear in WOT in either trans, youll be pulling that OD drum out of it and replacing friction materials. the builder is pushing for a power glide i havent heard from him in a few days hoping to get a hold of him later this weak so i can start planning all this stuff out. ill probly be doing 50-75% of the work i just need his help with the turbo fab, tuning and safety req's, and a few other odds and ends, other then that it will probly be assembled in my garage.

the thing with OD is that it can be taken care of with a good valve body. my aod has a full manual valve body with electric OD delete. that means when the OD switch is off, there is no way the tranny can go into OD. when im on the freeway and crusing i simply flip a switch and OD is back on

i think im gonna try out the C-4 it has a life time warranty and rated at 1,000 HP. i think i just sold my prochager kit so that will give me enough to the tranny and start the build for the rear end.
