I have to believe your shocks and struts are the issue. Personally, I don't think the springs are stiff enough.

"Bottoming out" is REALLY BAD and is not the same as scraping.
I have SS with 1 iso front and rear and I have to literally crawl over speed bumps and angle into driveways to keep my cats in 1 piece, but my stance makes it sooooooooo worth it.

Depends what going "too low" means to you. Usually it means FUBARing the front suspension geometry unless other parts are use to correct it. Or it could mean that you've almost eliminated shock travel. It could mean that you lay frame over anything bigger than a pebble.....
Run SS with no isos and you WILL high center the car on medium to large sized speed bumps.
