I would at least try and talk to them....if everything unfolded as you state I don't see how the "grease goob" that did your alignment can blame you for something he forgot to install......now with that being said the only thing you should have to pay for is the install of the jam nuts if he didn't charge you for such in the first place..as long as your bill doesn't currently reflect a charge for work not performed....the redo of the alignment should be done at no charge IMO
