Drive the car but don't mod it. Just keep it clean and respectable, and try to fix the little problems before they can manifest into larger problems. Looking back, I wish I didn't sink a single dollar into non-essential items for my car...

Think of it this way. Every dollar you save is a dollar you can put into your new GT. Every dollar you spend on your v6 is going to be lost when you resell it.
