srt8 I really think is garbage.. RT all the way.. if i could have any chally I would take an RT over an srt8.. unless i wanted to be a collector.. then i might take an srt8.. for performance, rt.. srt8s are just too heavy. I always thought that and i guess the guys over at motortrend agree.. honestly superbee srt8 driver.. your 12.8 with whatever 1800 DA with your mods is very unimpressive.. I think an RT with similiar money put into it would be dominating you (including price for car) your run calculates down to 12.5@110? I dont think it takes too much for an RT to get down there..im at a DA corrected 12.8@108 and im not even close to spending as much as a base msrp of an srt8 chally or charger.. GT500s you could also are overpriced for performance.. used is the only way id buy one.. not worth the nearly 50k for it.. S/C you base GT and be faster for cheaper..

yeah whatever. apparently you have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to the differences between an SRT-8 and an R/T ie power, suspension, etc etc. the faster it gets the more noticeable it will become. as for an R/T keeping up with an lightly modded SRT at the track it'd better have some serious mods. the SRT-8 is rated @ 425hp. but, if you buy the exact engine in a crate it is rated @ 450 go figure. there were no R/Ts running in the 12s at the track that day or even 13s for that matter. i was the only SRT-8 without serious mods in the 12s so for me it was a good day. it seems that there are some contradictions in your thoughts. you are stating that the R/T would be dominating me with similar mods yet you are comparing an ET from a S197, that has more mods than i do, that has a "corrected time" that is 3/10 and 2mph slower. based on your theory, your S197 should apparently be running faster since S197 are supposedly > than R/Ts yet a lightly modded R/T should be faster than a similarly modded SRT-8. that's like saying a S197 w/ whipple should be able to take a GT500 w/ whipple. 3/10 in the 1320 is a good bit. that specific run was done at Mopar Madness and the cars there ran the entire spectrum of mods. i can tell you that based off of the entire field of racers there that your theory is flawed. "for performance, rt. srt8s are just too heavy." ha ha ha ha. besides, i only spent 32,000 for my SRT-8 after financing.
