You should always negotiate your price first before telling them you have a trade and try to have our own financing set up because they can actually quote you a rate higher than what you should get and slpit the difference with the bank. Same here. I did not mention my trade until the end. But, I am doing X-plan as I said so there really wasn't much negotiating room anyways. but they offered me $1500 more than the next highest dealer because my car is always serviced there and it's just so damn clean.... saleman's words
