The Teksid block will be the best for any build over 500-600 HP. Your best bet for a 4V is to get a Teksid and buy your own rotating assembly, and then have it assembled...or just buy the new Aluminator shortblock or longblock. They can be had for around 4500 bucks and are a great, GREAT drop in motor.

Other than that I agree with the other guys. Buy the 96-98 motor, and find a set of good heads to go on it. Not saying the B head is bad, but for most people the C head or the FR500 or Ford GT head perform better.
