Default Lot's of Q's.....

Hey guys it's been a quick passing of the Summer so far and I have some questions concerning my car. Hope someone can help!

First of all, I used Amaz today on my windows to try and remove the water spots. It worked OK on half of a couple of the windows but didnt do a thing on some others. I first tried the little scrub pad (it kind of looked like a small piece of 3M or Scotch Brite) that it came with and it put tons of fine scratches on the window, kind of like spider webbing on a car. I next used a damp towel, rubbed in with a good amount of pressure, let haze for less than a minute or until dry, then buffed off. Any help here would be great.

Secondly, I want to get some "gunk" off of where the mud flaps used to be. Other than the holes they left, thye also left some very sticky but hardened residue in the lip of the fender and partially on the rear quarter. I have tried wax, Bug and Tar, and other things with no results.

Thirdly, I seem to have some white over spray on the front cowl piece beneath the windshield and the mirrors. They are both obviously the textured black plastic and I was wondering what would be good to safely remove this stuff.

I also have been using a mix or Woolite and water in the form of a spray bottle to clean the interior pieces including the dash, door panels, etc. It does OK I guess, but is there anything else I could use to get better cleaning power?

Lastly, I wanted to get a refresher on leather conditioning. I tried the Meguirs stuff. I believe it was the 2-step one. I followed directions and no results. The car only has 46k on it and has the dark great leather. The seats are in nice shape, but I just want to ensure that they don't fade out during the hot Oregon summers and that they are getting all the nutrients they need. Not to mention I wouldn't mind to do away with some of that stretching and or cracking or whatever you call it.

Sorry for the long post, but I have been wanting to have advice on some of these things.

Thanks,
---
Sean
