You can't compare city driving to highway. My GT gets over 23 MPG hand calculated (my onboard computer typically reads 1-2 MPG high) cruising steady at 70 MPH. Around town it drops into the teens and I'm usually driving fairly mellow. My g/f's V6 gets a little better but not much, maybe 2 MPG better. The variables are so many that you'll rarely get the same value at each fillup no matter how hard you try.

Only reset the onboard computer each time you fill-up or else you're not getting a true gas mileage value.
