Hi guys! I could use some clarification on this issue to give it one more chance to be repaired before driving it off a cliff.
My 2007 is clunking and I've gone through my MOUNTAIN of repair orders from Ford. (Have I mentioned I'm growing to HATE this car?) The front end clunk is only ONE of the many issues I've had with this car. Anyway, here's the story...
In December of 2007 I had TSB 07-18-02 done. This replaced 8R3Z-18183-B.
In February of 2008, I complained again and again with tsb 07-18-02. Replaced 8R3Z-18183-B. This time, on the repair order, it says "Road tested, vrified concern. Ran Oasis and found TSB 07-18-02. Replaced both uppser strut mounts verify repair.
Complained again in June of 08 and this time, they could not "verify concern". Yeah...ok.
**In July of 2008, I moved from south Florida to Knoxville, TN so this is a different dealer working on it now**
Complained again in August of 08. This time, the repair order says they verified the concern. They checked TSB 7R3Z-3078-A and TSB for 7R3Z-3079-A and replaced both lower control arms.
September of 2008, I complained yet again and, once again, they verified my complaint and this time, I got all new sway bar end links and bushings. A few days later, the clunk returned.
December 2008 through January of 2009, I was down and out with surgery for a tumor in my abdomen. By the time I was getting back to work and getting other things (finances) in order, I just didn't want to face it so I rode my bike as much as possible. Now that it's getting warm, I've been driving the Mustang more and the noise, (Yep, I STILL have it) is still there.
I'm giving them one more chance to make this right before I persue lemon law or other action. So...with that all in mind, can someone please tell me what I need to tell the dealer? I mean, I've read "gold stud"..."black stud"....I'm just confused.
Can soemone help?
Thanks in advance!
Yeah...it's STILL clunking.
