I just had mine replaced under warranty. Have you looked into that ? My trans seemed extremely noisy when I took it in right before the warranty expired. The Ford garage said it wasn't the trans but the pressure plate, flywheel and clutch. Ford replaced the whole thing for nothing. Worth at least asking about. Barring that I would certainly never pay for a stock clutch. After market will provide much more grip and last longer for about the same $$$. Seems like $600 was what I heard from an idependent guy.
