I really haven't set a budget yet, I was hoping to see how much I was able to make by the end of the summer. I've heard Borla is the best as well, but I've also heard of the price. The guy at the exhaust shop I went to told me that Flowmaster will be too high of a pitch, that the ones I have now are better because it's a V6.

I guess I'll have to do some more YouTube research. It's a little tough to find the right sound though cause mostly everyone on there has headers too....if any of y'all have videos that would be freakin' sweet.

Btw, mine don't look like the takeoffs at all. It's easy to believe the guy when he says they're stock, There are just some nice tips on there around the existing tips.

I just took a bunch of pics, but my damn computer has a trojan or something, so nothing's working. I'm gonna have to restore it, so I'll put the pics up as soon as I can. I appreciate the replies guys, I look forward to hearing some more maybe. Let me know if you want a video.

You could have appearance package GT mufflers. They're stock mufflers with 3.5" rolled tips and came on GT's with the exterior upgrade and on GT/CS. I have pics if you need reference

I hope I'm posting these in the right way....

P.S. Yes, I did manage to snap my parking brake cable, as indicated by the shiny new mechanism in the last pic lol

Those look like some takeoffs with some different tips on them to me. Someone else will be able to confirm that. If you get the chance to go to a mustang meet you will be able to hear lots of different exhaust set ups. I personally like the sound of the AT's but go out and find what you like. If your patient enough you will be able to find a deal, probably on this site, on the set up you want.

Those definitely are not GT takeoffs. You can especially tell by the 5th picture where it was welded. Those are probably just generic cheapo mufflers that the previous owner had installed at an exhaust shop. If they were GT take offs or axlebacks made for 05+ mustangs, they wouldn't have to be welded as shown in the 5th pic.

You can get the exhaust shop to weld mufflers, you don't have to use clamps and hangars.

But why when it all bolts together.
Welded up crap is just that, welded up crap.
As the detailed pics above indicate.....

its a shame that the shop would bamboozle the customer like that. ordering muffs on your own THEN having the shop install them is a safer bet.

You can have it fabricated by an experience muffler shop.
