First off, this is a quality post with great pics to illustrate the install... we all appreciate the time it took to write it up.

I have now done this install 3 times. The first time, on my Mustang, I followed this post and the install went great. The other 2 times (friend's car's lol) I simply pried the plastic lens covers off. I used a small flat head screwdriver and very gently placed the blade in-between the plastic lens and the surrounding opening and pried just a very little bit. I moved around the lens and the little sucker pops right out. No scratches or marks anywhere if done slowly and carefully.

Takes just about 1 minute per lens and I would have no hesitation doing it this way next time, even on my own car ;-). The reason I tried this easy way is I was always afraid of breaking those little brackets or the housing.
