VHT Niteshade?
I have heard of this stuff quite a bit and i have seen the outcomes of how it looks when done right, is there a specific process or steps to take to make these things trun out flawless? i am def. wanting to do this when i get my stang so i am just gathering ideas
already replied but i guess it didnt work the first time lol. anyway... i saw a website that showed you how to do it, i forget where. they just cleaned the lights, dried them, and sprayed them in layers. they wet sanded the final coat so it would some out smooth and have some reflectivity. I am going to be ordering the film tint kit from autobadges, just because i feel that tint is a little more predictable lol
u got it, light coats till u get the darkness that you want then wet sand and polish to get the gloss, smooth look or i did the above then had a shop spray them with an activated clear coat mine matched the paint looks awesome
So far I've only done my 3rd brake light to cover the 'wind scarring' but I like it, and personally i like the flat look on that... just clean it, and follow directions on the can... and it darkens up pretty quick so try not to do more than 2 layers at first. I'll take pictures tomorrow if I can remember...
I took the cheap/easy/removable way and used 5% static cling window tint from walmart. Actually, it worked real well and looks surprisingly good. Everyone thought i bought new covers lol. Cant beat that for a $12 roll of film. Since you can take it off and reapply it as often as you want you can avoid paying those pricey tickets.
Just a thought for anyone else considering tail light tint.

My uncle used it on the tail lights of his old S10 and it crackled and looked horrible. But my cousin used it on his moped lights and it looked great. I think it works better on NEWER lenses. Both used alcohol and cleaned them well. The old tail light covers just did not wanna take it.
