I picked it up it's a 3.71?. Of coarse when I was at the yard they had a '99 cobra svt swap sitting there for 2900. if only I had some extra money...

If your talking bout gears then i think it would be 3.73s and it sounds like a really good buy.

If you take the diff cover off and look on the ring gear for some numbers. If it has 11 and 41 its 3.73 gears. You divide the smaller number into the bigger number and you get the gear ratio.

I haven't pulled the cover off yet, they guy at the yard mentioned 3.7? somethings so 3.73s would be nice. I am going to take it to my good friend who is a mechanic and he is going to pull the cover off and inspect everything.
I think I am going to have him put it in too since I detest doing anything but paint and body. It's funny he does very precise things with very precise tools and I do very precise things with imprecise tools. (save for frame racks and what not)
We have a nice little trade system of engine/suspension for paint/body.

Just curious I assume the brakes that are on it are the bigger GT spec brakes so I should just save them until I do an upgrade to the front?

GT and V6 brakes are the same size.

ok so now that I have done some more research I need to call the yard and see how much they want for the front and rear sway bars and attachment stuff off of the car. I will have the rear out anyway so I may as well put a bar in there. I had just assumed it had a rear bar but apparently not.
