Question tryin to choose between two differnt mustangs

Ive got a little delima here. I have a 2000 F-250 Superduty 4x4 60k original miles and I have it posted on Indianapolis craigslist to trade for a mustang.used to have a 2000 Mustang gt and had alot of bolt on's like intake,TB,cold air,geared,short shift stuff like that and loved it.I have two differnt offers. 1 is a 2001 Mustang GT 5spd cobra bumper and hood and same bolt ons a my old 2000 GT its got 67k on it the seats have been replaced with racing seats no to big of a fan of that. The other is a 99 cobra all stock except a goofy lookin racing strip. its got 121,000 miles but he said its got a new motor 10k ago and he said when u shift it into first it makes a clunk sound?? maby gear arnt meshed right? but no for sure. Just need some help making a desion

Welcome to the forum! I would probably take the 01 Cobra if I had to choose between the two.

have you driven both? Which one looks like/ drives like it has been pampered? Thats the one I would go with. You don't want someone elses problems.

go with the cobra. trannys arent that expensive to rebuild

havent looked at ether of them yet just pictures and details.there both almost exactly 2hours away from me and are completey oppiset from each other havent got around to it yet.truck its work 11k according to kbb. idk if this will be the best offer ill get or if i mite have better luck when snow start hittin the ground

The clunk in the Cobra is probably the differential bushings, not the tranny.

I'd go with the GT. The 99 cobra's weren't that much stronger especially if a supercharger is in the plans.

I wouldn't buy a car with known problems unless I knew I could fix them all in the driveway. Just my opinion though.

Yeah....60 more hp is nothing....
