Just how hard do you drive this car, and what sort of "feel" do you want from it? If you frequently take corners hard, there are more satisfying tires available.
I'm sure that the 912 is an entirely adequate tire in terms of average normal driving behavior and performance. Note that Falken positions the tire as "All Season Performance", which I think freely translates as "All Season capability" first and hardcore performance somewhat lower. My understanding is that this tire is based on but an improvement over the ZE512, which was a decent tire for the money in terms of measured performance but rather unsatisfying as far as steering response is concerned.
Both the 512 and the 912 list treadwear ratings for various sizes at 360, and if most of your "normal" driving isn't all that hard, you might expect to get 36,000 miles or a bit more from them. But don't let promises or "guarantees" of long tread life be the overriding reason for choosing tires. Sometimes, when you need all the grip you can find, promises of long tread life suddenly become very UNimportant.
