Default HOW QUARTS OF OIL DOES 07 MUSTANG GT TAKE?

I dont know where i placed my manuel for my car and i going to change my on oil for the first time on my car mostly i take it to get it done but i do it my self and save the money i am up grading to royal purple so i just need the right amount of quarts to put in my car

I want to say I put in 6 quarts last time I changed my oil. One way to do it is to check you dipstick as you go along, put in 4 or 5 quarts, check it, then add as necessary.

It should be six quarts on a GT. Are you also changing the oil filter? If you change the oil but not the filter, some oil will remain in the filter. Are you running the car so that the oil circulates and then waiting a few minutes for it to drain into the pan? Do you have the correct oil dipstick?

6 quarts plus have an extra quart if you need or want to top off to the top of the line (which isn't necessary). I'm typically dead-on at 6 quarts.

You might want to search the forum and google RP in the crankcase. Some have reported problems.
