Question Pony Stripe - should I remove the stripe?

Just bought a black 08 V6 with pony package. It has the white stripe across the bottom.....I am considering simply removing the stripe for a blacked out look on the car....(getting windows tinted too).

What do you think about removing perfectly good white stripes off this basically brand new car...although it is an 08...it only has 5,100 miles on it....immaculate inside and out.

Do the windows, don't remove the stripe. It will look sick!

do the windows first, and see what the car looks like then if you want to take the stripe off you can use a hair dryer or heat gun to worm it up a little then peel it off. If anny residue is left on the car use some mineral spirits.

Default Thanks....still thinking

Thanks for the input fellas...here is a photo of my latest Mustang....I saw a black V6 with the pony package without the stripes across the bottom and I thought it looked sharp...that is why I am considering removing my white stripes...still in the air.

Imagine if you will....tinted windows....powder coated black rims...and without the stripe...see edited pic for stripe removal

I'm personally not a fan of the white stripe. The black stripe on a lighter color car looks better than the white on black.

i think you should spray paint over it sorta like you did with your edited picture... haha... i personally would either get rid of the stripe or replace it with a matte black one if you are going for the blacked out look.

+1 on the matte stripe, along with the wheels and the tail lights, turn lights, and markers smoked out.

I think you should keep it on. You have a V6, and without the stripe it looks like a GT. Embrace your six-ness!
But either way, it will eventually start peeling off all on its own, so just wait a year or so!
