Hey guys, i just joined a little while ago and since buying my 04 GT im trying to figure out what it has on it. it has some yellow springs all around on it and i know its lowered becasue, well its obvious from stock ones ahah.

i was wondering if anyone has/could get the stock ride height of their car.

measuring from bottom of the rim lip straight up to the lowest point of the fender arc.( i say bottom of rim and NOT the grount b/c that will eliminate the sidewall thickness of different ratio tires) and also assumed on fairly level gound.

looking to see what kind of lowering i have going on with my car.

Just curious, why are you wanting to return it to stock height?

 

yeah dude don't go back to the 4X4 look lol. it makes the gap between the tire and fender look soo much better, alot of kits usually drop your car 1.5 to 1.75 inches.

 

i never said i was going back to stock.....no way in hell am i doing that. i need the stock height measurement to compare to my height to see what kind of kit i have.

if i have a 1" lowering springs or 1.5" etc...

OP, you'll be better off just to post a pic of your car from the side. We should be able to tell you from there.

just figured there has to be someone on here with stock suspension that can throw a tape measure to it.

 

If you measure from the center of the wheel you eliminate differing wheel sizes too...

as it sits in the first 2 pics, it is 15" in the back and 14.5" in the front on the passenger side measured from center of rim straight up to outer edge of fender


reason im asking is i want to get the FR500 17x9 with 275/40/17 Sumitomo's for the front and 17x10.5 with 315/35/17 Sumitomo's for the rear. and also just to know what is on the car for future referance.

i dont want to have to roll the fenders for them either...

there are pics on American Muscle of cars with them but i dont know what they have for lowering springs on them IF they do.

I'm going to guess Eibach springs. Looks almost identical to my ride, but I could be wrong.
