Subwoofer cuts out on hard hits
Guys, I'm not sure he needs a cap or upgrading the big 3 yet. His amp is overloading. Let's get the impedance right and see if he still has issues. I have a feeling he'll be fine once he gets his sub wired in series
Hey boys
sorry to bring up an old thread, but I have a similar problem faced.
I have this Sub:
http://manual.kenwood.com/files/B61-1282-00.pdf
and this amp:
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftec...wer2ch_MAN.pdf
According to the amp, when bridges, it needs to run 4ohm
According to my subwoofers documentation, and according to the rockford website (which calculates the wiring depending on amp and sub)
there is no way to setup this dual voice coil (of 4ohm and 4ohm) to run into a 4ohm bridged amp?

his sub isnt wired at 1 ohm its at .5 ohm cause you got it parallel at the sub which brings it down to 1 ohm and bridged at the amp dropping that in half to .5 ohm. i dont know of a amp that will handle that low of resistance execpt a true pro amp
um. which guy? lol cheqm823q only has one 4 ohm dvc sub, so 4 ohms isnt an option, and hpwrestler already got his wired correctly as far as I'm aware.
