Default Spec stage 2 or 2+ clutch for n/a Mach?

Never had to buy a clutch and need feedback. Is the stage 2 w/ 599 tq. rating enough for a n/a Mach? Clutch feel heavy enough to warrant the low pedal requirement option? Is stock spline 10 or 26?

Plan on pulling trigger on a Spec clutch, Fiore quadrant and adjuster and want to do it right the first time. Thx for any help.

Stage 2 is plenty. A 3 is way heavy, and is either "in" or "out", lol.

Was comparing the 2 and 2+, but if you say the 2 is plenty then question answered. Much appreciated.

The 2+ will be a lighter pedal feel.

How does it compare to the stock pedal? I know I was really shocked when I first drove the mach because the clutch pedal was way more stiff than my GT's pedal was. Both were stock clutches too.

I couldn't tell much of a difference in pedal feel between the stocker and my Spec Stage 2. Might be a little bit heavier with the Spec. A stage 2 will be more than enough for an N/A car. Make sure you get an OEM Ford TOB to install the clutch with. I used the Spec TOB that came with the kit and it has squealed from day one. I still need to replace it but it's going to be a PITA with LT's.

TOB? Also, you just brought up a good point...just bought a set of used SLP LTs and I should prolly get the clutch in before those.

TOB= Throw Out Bearing. I'm getting a clutch too. I have done some research and lots of asking around, and i'm going with a spec stage 2.
