When I went to order HIDs I first went with the Saleen kit. The vendor I went though advised that they were on back order due to a defect that they were trying to remedy in the product. I can't say whether or not that has been fixed but I went with the Steeda kit and have been very happy.

sorry, my bad...
i didn't like the way they light up the road, but honestly i think they were misaligned... i even took car to a shop where i bought it from and asked them to align it and they said they did and even after that it didn't seem bright enough i guess. i have a murano with bi-xenon stock and those are so much better comparing to the mustang ones. anyway i was replacing my headlights with some aftermarket ones at that point and those do not accept HIDs so right now i have regular stock halogen bulbs.
i didn't even know that it was a saleen kit until i was listing it for sale and than i saw all the stickers on ballasts and everything that it actually is a saleen kit..
so i assume that my poor experience with them is because they were not installed right or something (?!)

I like the looks of both the saleen and the oem ford HID's. However, I like the oem ford HID's a little better and added them to my car..

Do u really need a kit that replaces your headlamp to have HID's? I just installed a new set of HID's with the OEM housing (the one with the black bulb) on my 06 and it has worked fine. I'll try to get a camera tonight to take a picture

Yes, you may have done that and it will work fine. But they are still illegal, and the OP wanted legal HID's.
