Default blew ssomething going for 3rd gear in a brake stand?

welp..i was in front of my house, had some buddies over 1999 GT was there, and i did a powerbrake in first, hit second, put it to 7k rpms and hit third, went in too easy, it hit and then just gave up...u can see all 3 gears marked on the pavement, but i coasted into the driveway, nd no broken pieces, leaking fluid, clutch cables good, driveshaft does NOT spin....i can go through everygear with no clutch and the car wont stall, did i bend the shift forks? the bone T-45 has only 6k on a rebuild...any suggestions?

Well, what the hell did he think was going to happen???

The stock transmission is just that - stock. Its not built to take that kind of abuse. Yea, burnouts in 1st gear are ok, but when you start switching gears while doing the burnout your asking for trouble. And to top it all off, your spinning it to 7K rpms..... you mind as well drive down the highway doing 70ish and slam the damn thing in reverse...

I would imagine so, if it's only a u-joint. You said it's going through all gears without the clutch and not stalling? And your gears aren't grinding from shifting without the clutch? Please correct me if I misread what your saying, but if this is true, I'd say you have bigger problems than just a u-joint.

You burnt out your clutch... It's not engaging. That's why the D/S doesn't spin and that's why you can go into any gear. It's like having the clutch pedal perm. pushed down.
