I would imagine so, if it's only a u-joint. You said it's going through all gears without the clutch and not stalling? And your gears aren't grinding from shifting without the clutch? Please correct me if I misread what your saying, but if this is true, I'd say you have bigger problems than just a u-joint.
please tell me you got that stunt at LEAST on video.... because even though it was stupid... I KNOW it looked bad ***, lol. plz plz plz tell me its on video
haha yea it was super badass....but no vid, and it was a serious one too right in front of my house...once shes fixed ill go for it again...
and blowing the clutch is a good possibility....but if the u joint snapped, wouldnt pieces be everywhere, and i just heard a quick snap type sound..like a click after i nailed 3rd and she died...
You burnt out your clutch... It's not engaging. That's why the D/S doesn't spin and that's why you can go into any gear. It's like having the clutch pedal perm. pushed down.
ok that would make sense.....any suggestions for a beefed up clutch? it was a spec stage 2 with adjustable quadrant...i guess i will step up to the king cobra??
i did the same thing. i was leaving a bar at 2 am and i did this huge burnout from 1st to 2nd and my clutch ate $hit. on the clutch disc itself, the friction plates on both sides of the disc separated. i got a stage 2 racing clutch now and damn my clutch pedal is sooooo hard lol
ok...ill keep all this in mind..guess i wotn find out till i drop it out of the car, but like i said just picked up a 85 hatch as a new project car...so puttin the cobra on the backburner for winter
