If you got the nerves and forget it's a new car, you can look at my Garage Pictures on what you can do with some sand paper, spray paint, tape and wife's hair dryer. all elese fails, sand down paint again, less then $30, or if you mess up too bad go to ford get a new cover for $100, or buy a fake dripped in carbon fiber cover for $600.

Thank, I really went outside my element when I decided to do the valve covers, what a task, 5 hours with paint, but was fight the clock, I did not let dry all way, but they look ok and save you money on gaskets, if you do within 8000 miles like I did you can use old ones, even the new ones I bought and used were for 05 and up but trust me they are not the same, you will find with this car even though it's a 4.6 3 Valve like all the rest there are a lot of changes and nothing fits even when they say, but the guys at Car ID .com did get the carbin fiber interior rightm I did the real red & Black carbon fiber interor fits likem\ a glove
I like how you carried the stripes under the hood.
did you spray your rad cover that color of red? or did it come that way. almost looks orangish
in 2009 Ford changed the gaskets on the intake. that carried over to the 2010 models along with the CMVV being molded into the intake.
2005-2006 cars have a different coolant cross-over than a 2007+ 4.6 3v motor

No it comes black on all cars, comes off in about 2 mins, first I light sanded to rough up, then I cleaned up with a paint prep solution, and water, dried it, sprayed down with Adhesion promotor, and used Red plastic Valspar paint from Lowes, light coat, let dry, when first start it almost looks like bubbles, but let dry and go again and again, will cover nicely one cane, after dry, taped off and sprayed black right over red no prep. the very front you have to tape off the front of car, I left on car, just cover everything up and prep as you did cover.

Go Lighter, or a little off, mine is way off from car color, but when pop hood look right for som reason, matches my valve covers I did in high temp bright red. see my stripes are not black, you have to see in sun, they a re, then shot with bright red pearl, look copper almost.

It is potent stuff though, so make sure you are in a well ventilated space and use a good mask (though, the one I used came from a different vendor that I can't find anymore).
