Default Been a rough couple of months for me.

I don't know if everyone knows or not.

My stepfather passed away on August 30th.

About 6 weeks later my mother was admitted to the hospital with chest pains and had a stint put in. Doctor told her she was very lucky. She had a major artery 99% blocked and a blood clot behind the blockage waiting to get to the heart. Woke up with chest pains. She's doing better.

Last night my twin brother was driving back from Montgomery, I guess, and someone cut him and an off duty firefighter off on the interstate. It was raining and both vehicles hydroplaned.

His 07 Shelby ended up in the trees. It was on it's left side and fell to all four wheels. Car sounds pretty banged up (bodywise) I'm hoping that's all. I'll try to find out more. Sad part is it's a 1 of 1 on the Shelby registry and Carroll Shelby signed the dash b/c of it being in the Shelby Museum.

The great news is my brother is okay, but I know he's torn up inside over his car.

Not sure if this is taboo or not but here's a link to a photo shoot of my brother's car at Barbers Motorsports.

The great news is he is not hurt.

That is rough, and probably draining. Hang in there with your family, there's nothing as rewarding as being there for them.

Looking on the bright side...
Your mother got to the hospital on time and they had a procedure to fix her up.
The 2007 Mustang has a five star crash rating.
Too often, after a tragedy, people say "if only....," believing that a change in circumstance would have avoided a tragic situation. Well, you don't have to say "If only she had gotten to the hospital sooner" or "If only he was driving a better car." For you, the "if only" happened and they both survived.
Hang in there. Best of luck to you.

Things always seem to come in threes.

Sorry to hear about your run of luck.

On the '07....I am pretty sure I'd do whatever I had to do to keep the insurance from totaling the car or buy it back or whatever. No matter whats wrong it can be fixed but the insurance might not be willing to pay for the repairs if it's banged up enough.
