Free WHP and mostly unknown computer tricks for 05+ Mustangs
Disconnect the battery over night. Sometimes a short disconnect will not fully reset the computer. A overnight disconnect will.
Unforutantely that's all I have for suggestions. I've had quite a few problems that were not resolved with a quick unplugging of the battery, but an overnight unplugging resolved the issue. Other than seeing if the Ford Dealer could reflash it, I'm short on suggestions.
Do you have any other Ford dealers in Egypt?
One last question, when you unplugged the battery, which terminal(s) did you unplug? If you didn't unplug both, do that over night. I know it sounds stupid, but I've had dumb issues through the years that have been resolved by completely unplugging the battery (both terminals) overnight.
Good luck.

thanks for the suggestion
Since you performed that sequence and it "enabled" something, try doing the same sequence and maybe it'll disable it.
I know that when you perform the seat belt chime disabling sequence, you can turn it back on by performing the sequence again.
worth a shot....

I have done #1 myself, but it's not necessary to disconnect the battery first. There are step-by-step instructions somewhere on this forum about how to do it. I did it to reset the adaptive memory because I bought my car from a rental fleet and it had learned to acccelerate like there was a granny driving it.
BTW, I am simply amazed at the settings that are controlled by computer. My Shaker 500 CD player died (under warranty, thankfully!) I noticed that the new one didn't have a convertible setting. The dealer uploaded some code to the computer to add that function. I also had some bounce-back from a power window. You would think that would be fixed in the window itself but the dealer fixed it through the computer again.

Just to let you all know, #2 worked on my 06 GT automatic with this crappy California 91 octane gas. There was a huge improvement all all the way up to 6K in the pulling power and no detination (pinging).
Although mine works great, does anyone know how to remove the #2 if someone wants to remove it & go back to the stock tune?
Thanks, Rick
