My '91 GT turns over, but the engine gets no fuel. I have checked the fuses, and they are fine. When I turn on the key (without starting it) I do not hear the fuel pump turn on. I am holding off taking it in as a last resort. I have heard of the emergency shutoff on the fuel pump being set off by slamming the hatch, and the solution was to hit the fuel reset button. Is there a fuel reset button, and--if so--where can I find it?

Mine is located in the trunk behind the driver's side tail light.

Yes there is a fuel pump switch, it is in the trunk. Should be near the left trunk lid hinge, if it's a 2 door, or under the trunk latch on 3 door(Hatchback), or in the spare tire well.

Have you checked your fuses and fuel pump relay? Cheap fixes if they are the problem.

with the fuses in check each side of the fuse while it is in the box..because i made the mistake of only checking on side of the banking and the test like cam on everytime..i didnt check the other side where it had to flow to..and i had this same problem and sure enough when i checked it again the test light didnt light up on both sides of the fuse teeth and i took it out and there was a very small crack in it..so i had a bad fuse and the same thing your desctribing
