what are the stock gears in a 95 gt? i was wondering bc i did a lug swap and just took the whole rear end( bc i wanted discbrakes) and i dont know it feels faster tan the speedo feels.. maybe bc i havent driven the car on the highway for like 2 months! sinc ei tore apart my interior.

I think they are 2:73s in a 5 speed, and 3:08s in a auto.

most fox bodies and 94-95 gt's had either 2.73 or the dealer installed option of 3.08 (both manual & auto's). If ypur are not the original owner, its possible the gears were changed as this is usually the first mod done.

I have a 94GT automatic and my stock gears were 3:27's. Now I have 3:73 and I love them.

damn so i might have 3:27's in my car right now? instead of the 3:08 or the 2:73?? if so .. how do i checkwhich gears i have? are there a certain amount of teeth on each of the gears that makes it different? or the angle of the gear or something?

*edit: i defiantely dont have 3 55 or 3 73 for sure casue id otn feel the pwoer diff and the speedo is very close ot being correct to the 89 rear end.

On my stock gears there is a stamp with the gear number, check the stamp.

alright, so just pull the cover off and look at it? or do i have to take te gears out?

howabout taking your lazy butt and look for the gear letter on the door or better yet pull your lazy butt under the car to read the tag on the rear..have a nice day
