Default 1966 Mustang VIN numbers

Is there someone who can tell me all the places where I can find the VIN number. I know there is in the end of door and on the top of the inner fender on driver side but I I guess there is also other place on the car ...

The tag on the door is a warranty tag, often missing or the wrong tag. The VIN is on the top of the LF fender apron. There are usually two hidden VINs on the top of the aprons between the shock tower and hood hinges, but you must remove the fenders to see them.

All of the aprons were lost? You are kinda screwed, then, there were no other VIN locations.

So I think I'm having vin number issues, hopefully not. The tag on the door matches the stamp on the top left fender, the arrow with the circle in your pic. Is that supossed to be the vin or just another copy of the warranty number?
When you say fendor apron, you mean the actual fendor or apron the same surface (What looks like a second copy of the warranty number)? Both fendors in my car were replaced.

On these cars, the warranty number is the VIN. The VIN is stamped into the top of the fender aprons. Two of them are hidden by the fenders. The fenders are not stamped.

Yup, thanks. Just went out and pulled the one fender and under it I found the vin, which matches the one in the notch which matches the door. In your earlier post where you said the tag on the door was warranty I had a glimmer of hope. So tomorrow I'm off to the dmv because I have, when the second owner titled the car in 1988, the wrong vin. In fact the number isn't even close to a ford vin # yet it says 1966 mustang.
