97 cobra mustang here, the driver's seat motor has
stopped working, but only up and down(vertical)
still moves front and back(horizontal)
I am told that there are two seperate motors, each
controlling up/down front/back movements respectively
upon calling around, Ford dealership is only one who
sells the item, and it is the entire esembly with track
and all for 602.00

any suggestions?

check and see if a motor out of a 2001 gt power seat will work. i have 2. also, post pics of the motor for comparison

School Boy, did you ever sell those? My front to back motor is dying...... up and down still works great.
