Default used cobra front calipers and turned rotors

So there is a guy who is selling some black cobra front calipers, brackets and some turned rotors for $150. Seems like a good deal. Not sure what year but the picture on the ad look just like the 94-04 ones. Would prefer it if they were red but beggars can't be choosers! I have read the sticky on building a cobra brake set.

So I reckon I will need new pads and coarse thread bango bolts for sure but is the new brake lines 100% nessesary or can I use my GT ones and upgrade to the stainless cobra ones later?

Also is this a good price? What commonly goes bad, what should I be looking out for? Any ideas of minimum rotor width since they have been turned?

I bought myself some used cobra rotors and the idiot before me put a coures thread bolt in them when they were supposed to use the fine thread bolt... 94-98 cobras use fine. And i think 99/01 use fine too? 03/04 use course thread

So make sure you dont go through that nightmare. Just make sure the threads aren't stripped...

Depending on what year the calipers are, depends on if they are fine thread or course thread.

As for the rotor width, idk what to tell ya on that. I picked up some used rotors and the guy turned them for me. They still had a lot of meat on them. I guess i lucked out. I got em for $62 with like 5,000 miles on em.

EDIT: You can use your stock brake lines. That's what i am doing. No need for the SS lines for daily driving. These brakes rock...

And $150 is a good price for all of that. All you'll need are pads. Stock pads can be had for cheap...

The rotors look meaty?

That's a great deal. Glad you were able to work him down...

Now go install!

It takes me like 35 min start to finish to do the fronts lol

$120 is a steal for the braking power these things offer...

It's worth the extra money darkshadow But keep looking. If you can get out of it for under $300 with loaded calipers and rotors, that's a good deal
