clutch cable install
i bought a MM clutch cable and firewall adjuster. i cant get this on and working right. i can only get the adjuster on by prying the clutch fork forward. with it on the petal wont even go to the floor to start the car. it only goes half way. with it off the clutch slips and the engagement point is at the top of the petal. anyone know what the problem could be?

Did you take the black rubber/plastic stock firewall mount off the clutch cable? If not youll most likely have to file some teeth (usually 4) off the white plastic on the cable where so it will fit into the adjuster.
Only other thing I could think of is the cable is on the wrong quadrant hook or the cable is too short. Or worn clutch but thats highly unlikely, you shouldnt have to pry the fork forward if it has the two jam nut on the end.

new clutch and no jam nuts on the cable. it fits perfectly on the adjuster. i bought it as a kit from american muscle. it seems that it is too long w/ out the adjuster and too short with it. it a single hook quadrant. the cable says 82-04 so dont think its the wrong one. any other ideas?
