Default Estimated price for new windshield?

So my current windshield is has several pits that have been filled in and now recently got hit by a 3 inch rock on the highway going 75...Now it has a huge pit and a 7 inch crack... So im thinking of just getting a new windshield since it looks like trailer trash.

I was wondering if anyone here still has the original windshield in that also has that pony trademark visor looking deal... If ya do please post a picture. Id like to have that specific windshield!

And how come since my car was manufactured after 12/17/99 i have to pay 100$ more for the same damn part!??

According to the catalog
Part NO:03100 (DW 01368 GTY) works for cars "BEFORE 12/17/99'' & is 205$
Part NO:03100 (DW 01395 GTY) works for cars made "FROM 12/17/99" and up? Yet its 309$??

can anyone verify that both of these windshields have the pony visor in the middle? It claims on the website that both of these windshields have a "Mustang pony trademark" but im still unsure if it refers to pony thing i was talking about... And finally do OEM windshields hold up better than the after market ones that safe-lite would offer? Im just trying to get a good idea on how much it cost to put in a cheap one in vs the OEM one with the logo.

I have a 2000 V6 coupe mfg in 3/00

Well I do not know why there is a differance but I do know that an OEM shield is of better quality in most cases.

By quality I mean its not wavey/distorted or dips.

Check with your insurance company. I know here in florida insurance will pay 100% with no deductible and no increase in premiums for windshield replacement due to damage.

Florida full coverage FTW! Like PNY said, check with ur insurance company, if you have full coverage they may cover most if not all the cost of the windshield and have it installed.

So I'm assuming all the prices you guys listed were including parts & labor right? That's not too bad actually, but sounds like insurance helped out a lot.

Now does anyone have a picture of the pony windshield?
