Default 1969-1970 clutch pedal & Linkage

Hey guys, I am getting a clutch pedal and linkage off a 69 donor car to put on my 70 coupe which is an automatic. Will this pedal set up work? I know that I will have to trim my 70 pedal to get it to match, but I am wondering if the 70 has its own pedal. I have an interchange book, but I have seen guys use older pedals on new cars, 65 on a 68 for example. Will I have a problem with this?

Why not just use both pedals from the donor car? The earlier pedals will not fit properly.

The 70 brake pedal is unique in that the rod that connects to the master cylinder has a round hole at its end where as the 69 is square. This could be true only for power brakes, which the car does not currently have, but I have the booster which will be applied at a later date.

No, that's not the difference. The pushrod hole could not possibly be square, anyway, since it would not rotate. The 1970 power brake pedal was unique, in that the steel post for the pushrod was mounted about 1/2" higher up, because the 70 pushrod was straight, while the 67-69 was a teardrop.

Thanks for the clarification. So could I use the 70 booster with the 69 pedal?

Absolutely not. The pushrod would not line up properly. 70 boosters must use 70 pedal. The 69 pedal is reproduced, but not the 70. Both boosters are reproduced, though.
