July 2011 Sales Numbers Analyzed
Check out Demon 340's homepage article analyzing last month's numbers. Any surprises here? What does Ford need to do to push the Mustang's numbers above the Camaro's?

The new sixxer doesn't need a power boost. It still has both the Camaro LS/LT and the Challenger SE beat in every measurable performance aspect, save for the power rating of the Camaro.
What Ford needs to do is just improve their marketing strategies for both the V6 and the GT.

The suspension argument is really pretty stupid. The SRA in the Mustang is a fine piece of equiptment, and is much more sport tuned than the Camaro's IRS. I also love hearing the haters constantly ask why doesn't Ford move away from the SRA, and yet they never mention the front suspension. Hell even the Camaro uses a varient of the Macpherson fron strut suspension that was developed in tandem with Ford back in the 40's. Always gives me the chance to lol.

I'm looking to buy a Mustang or Camaro this winter. I believe that the Mustang is the better all-around car, but can't seem to get excited about it's looks. It looks much to familiar, as if we've seen it around for years and years in its present form. The Camaro looks fresher, more exciting. However, I belive the Mustang to be the superior auto, so I'm sure I'll purchase the Ford, not the Chevy. Just MHO....

Well here in GA I have noticed that the number of camaros is growing and It doesn't look as fresh as before. The camaro is cool but to me it reminds me of a big locomotive with that ship like angles. The camaro is too big and less practical than the mustang. I see it this way:
if you don't care about absolute performance; You are a more mature down to earth guy; you want to cruse and take long rides with comfort but still want the muscle car look you buy a challenger. (challenger; bad *** gentleman)
If you want everybody to look how cool you are; don't care about comfort so much; like brute force; are able to forgive some nuances about your car's day to day usage; you get a camaro. (camaro; the bad boy)
If you want a car that is easy to use as daily driver; have the power; has the handling; and the muscle car look; in other words you like balance; you get a mustang. (mustang the famous athlete; or better the stallion)
For me... I always liked the 67 mustang since I saw it on my english book cover when I was on 9th grade; later I saw a 65 convertible on a car show and fell in love with the looks; on the year 2000 I saw one of my mom's clients; A hot cougar; driving a 67 white mustang with red interior and though that that was the hottest thing ever. And considering that you don't see this beauties too often in my country; every time you see one; you get exited; heck my 2008 v6 is a luxury rarity back in my country; If I were there in college driving my stang I bet I would be very popular with the ladies lol. Forgot to mention a hottie (interior designer) girl that I saw driving a lime 65! yay... mustang is more than a car; it is iconic; that is why I don't even consider other cars; few cars have the personality; the history of a mustang.
