Question 1995 Mustang GT 5 speed transmission issues

I recently purchased a 1995 Mustang GT 5 speed the car is all stock
except for a K&N air filter. The problem im having is if you are at a complete stop and try to take off in 1st gear it will jump out of 1st, but if you are rolling about 5 mph and put it in 1st gear it works fine, even if you come to a complete stop and take off it stays in 1st gear fine. Also note all other gears work fine. What is the cause of this problem and what is the method of repair needed to fix it? Any tips / advice would be great. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply, What do you think the parts will cost to
repair it? Also What kind of labor charge should i expect to be
charged for the repair?

Thanks

Well here is a T-5 rebuild kit.
http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...on-Rebuild-Kit

I've never torn apart a T-5 before so I can't really tell you how hard it would be to do it yourself. But If your new to working on cars I probably wouldn't try it. If you want to pay someone, start calling around. You can always get a different trans that wont break(like the T-5) Like Tremec, G Force.

Sorry for not really being able to help.
