I have a set of "granatelli motorsports" upper and lower control arms (NON-weight jackers) they have poly bushings well after some abuse and make lack of grease some of the bushing broke. I'm replacing them with delrin bushing anyway....

I need to replace JUST the bushings in the lower control arms... Would it be easier to remove the entire control arm and replace the bushings and re-install

or

would it be possible to replace the bushings one by one with it still installed in the car just loosening up the bolts and removing and replacing with the new bushings

If it were me id remove the whole arm. I think it would make pressing the bushings out easier.

If they are poly/poly LCA's and poly UCA's and were on MY car, I would pull both sets off and get ones with better geometry

Can you give us a link to the specific arms that you have on your car? Both uppers and lowers, please?

If your going to replace them I would make sure at least one end of the control arm has a spherical bushing (hiem joint), control arms with poly bushings on each end bind and can damage the torque boxes.

Yep, I really like our Pro Street setup that has a spherical bushing on one end and polyurethane bushings on the other end. Some people prefer poly/poly control arms to reduce NVH, but I happen to like the spherical/heim joints much better!
