Wow Ryan, Your awesome. Great information.
The Haynes manual refers to removing the door and having to go through the lower speaker hole to get to last hinge.

Default 2004 Mustang Door Hinges

MWSTANG99, I went as far as to take my 2004 Mustang Mach 1 to a body shop (CollisionMax) and the estimator told me the hinges for this model car are "sealed"(his word) and you cannot replace the hinge pin/bushings. You can get the hinges top/bottom from Ford. One is $37 and the other is $51... can't remember which one cost what. After I replace my hinges I'll post again....pogo619

I have yet to find a dealer that sells pins and bushings for the 94+, but they are not sealed units, you can get the pins for a Fox and drill the hinges slightly, a little bit of a pain, but much cheaper.

I think when they say "sealed" they mean that they can't be taken apart (easily). You need to cut the stock pins to get them out. I haven't done it yet, but I need to to my girlies ride.

Default 99-04 models

For year models 99-04 Coupe (i did not check convertibles) you have to replace the entire hinge. For some reason, these models do not come with removable pins/bushings. It is an all-in-one deal. They run about $35 for the top one and $55-60 for the lower (the one with the rubber roll).

Like some others have posted, you could modify the current hinges to allow for the older pins and bushings to work, but personally I feel mods only bring more problems.

Hope this helps.
