Ok, this is driving crazy, a couple of weeks ago my air bag light came on in 5 flash burst with a couple seconds between...It flashes 5 times and keeps cycling over and over again while the car is on. Its a 1991 GT. It just appeared one day after the car sat for a couple of days. Its a garage kept car so no outside elements.

But about 4 days ago the light went out and a beep from under the das replaced it with the same sequence. A couple of days ago the tone was replaced by a broken tone like a crackle, seemed like it was breaking up (loose wire)...Today I went underneath the dash and found a little whit box where the tone came from. I moved it around, unplugged it and plugged it back and the tone stopped.

Now the light is back...Please help me out??? Its a 5 flash sequence which goes on and on...

the beep means you have a warning light that is out, I would guess that being the airbag.

The beep went away and the light flashing 5 times over and over again is back...

cheap: put tape over the light if you dont want to fix it...
proper: fix the problem correctly

The 5 beeps is the systems malfunction warning system. It's telling you that the airbag module has an internal fault, and will need a proper diag and likely expensive fix. Taking the module out(that white box you found) will solve the beep and the light, but you will have no airbag deployment, should you ever need it.

Glove compartment. It's a blue box.

I have the same issue. I've been told its the clock spring in the steering wheel. My light and beeping noise start and my steering wheel controls stopped working. no horn or cruise control
