no the GT isnt more powerful, they both have the same hp. the LX is lighter and also have the same handling package as the GT. the stangs have problems with their trannys. both AOD and T5 are weak production ones. your looking at low 14s stock if you can drive with either ride.[as long as its in good shape] the SD cars are faster compare to a MAF car stock. since the stock MAF have very restrictive inlets. depending on the options are the variations of gears it had. expect anything from 273 up to 355. notchbacks are lighter but its going to be hard to find a good 5.0 notchback. alot of ppl are converting a 4banger into a 5.0. yes they are reliable if taken care of like any car. if you beat it then youll have issues with it. gas mileage should be around 14-25mph depending on the car and the driver. power wise 87-92 have 225 hp and 300 tq. and the 93 are underrated at 205hp. 92 started the first year for basecoat/clearcoat paint and also first year for the colormatched moldings. 91 introduced the pony wheel and larger front wheel openings. 90 had airbags, 86-88 had SD. some 88 had MAF they were the CAliforna cars. also 89 started the 140 speedo option.
