Default 3rd Brake Light Help

So I bought the LED 3rd brake light from AM to replace my old warped one. Tried to install it today and can't get it to light up. Also now when I hit my brakes, the tail lights also don't light up. I unhooked everything and hooked everything back up three times and still couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I don't know how I manage to **** up something so simple. Anyway, anyone know what I could possibly be doing wrong here? Thanks

Thanks man. It took a lot of searching to find a fuse diagram that was labeled.

Ok, so I replaced fuse 41 (brake lamp) with a new 15a fuse (old was blow) and still can't get my tail lights and 3rd brake light to light. Anyone got anymore ideas?

are you sure you're doing it right? I had the body shop put mine in since the car was there anyway and they screwed it up so don't feel bad; had to fix it myself. the plugs from the new light go into your old bulb sockets

Thanks. I am gonna take another look at it before class tomorrow. I think that it might be the polarity of the new brake light connections and the old sockets. I will try to take some pictures tomorrow to explain it better.

Here is a picture of what I am talking about.

Does anyone know if it is green to green or black to green?

I would assume you could only put it on one way

Is the fuse blowing every time you press the brakes?

I would also try unplugging the 3rd brake light and seeing if the brakes start working normally

try eliminating variables until you can isolate what is causing the issue

you could have gotten a defective light, just make sure to eliminate all other variables before you assume that
