Default v6-v8 swap update

I am still in the process or getting everything for my swap, this is where I stand at the moment, I have the motor, tranny, hurst short throw, spec stage 3, billet steel flywheel, aluminum driveshaft. I just got the pcm, still need the harness which will be really difficult to find. I just got all the accessories for the motor, new starter, used compressor, purchased all the lines and fittings for the a/c, got the pressure side for the power steering, got the gt fuel line. I have 39# injectors as well as a gt500 tb, I put a down payment on a frpp intake manifold and a C&L Cai from a member over on s197forum. I painted the block and heads red which really looks like a close match to my car color and the valve covers have been painted black. I am still undecided on the cams I want, I am looking for something lopey I just can't make my mind up. Also, going to be adding LT's, catted h-pipe and either pypes bombs or slp loudmouths. After all that I will just need a tuner to cap it off and then I can drop in the motor.

i heard pypes dont sound good in v6 or v8, so i wouldnt consider them, if you have the choice of course.

You heard wrong, quit going by hear say and slinging false information around. Thats an opinion which is fine but don't say "I wouldn't consider them".

Really? This is something you wouldn't consider.

I think the Pype Bombs sound good. I'd still recommend SLP's, but I don't think you can go wrong with either.

How much is all this going to cost you? Wouldn't it be cheaper to sell your current Mustang and buy a GT?

Swaps cost a couple of thousand. In his case and would be my case the car is already paid for. Why trade in the car and have a car note again? Also what if he has a bunch of suspension stuff and exterior/interior mods, why start over?

That about nails it on the head, its paid for, I dumped alot into the suspension beforehand, I already had the 8.8. I can do the swap myself so I don't have labor costs, plus it's my first mustang and the costs would probably come out the same in the end. Not easy finding a gt with only 17k on the engine for 13k, and the trade in value of your car is worth 9k.
